Online payment of fee in Allahabad University from today

ALLAHABAD: Allahabad University will make available the facility of online submission of annual fee from Tuesday. The facility would provide much needed relief to thousands of students who had to spend hours standing in serpentine queue at the counter to submit fee. The varsity has tied up with the Punjab National Bank (PNB) which has already developed a software for the same.

AU registrar B P Singh said, "The facility was under consideration for quite sometime as students had to stand in long queues and many of our employees too were involved in the process. We held talks with SBI and PNB in this regard. The latter offered to provide the facility free of cost." He further said that the facility would be available to all students irrespective of the course being pursued by them.

All details, pertaining to fee of various courses has been uploaded on varsity website and the same can be referred to by students before going for online submission, he added. Singh further said that talks were underway with other banks for submission of annual fee without any charge. "These banks will also be added along with PNB and the students can avail the same," he said.
