Class 12 students appeared for their third paper of Physics for board exam today i.e. March 5, 2016. The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) of Class 12 started from March 2. This year, a total of 14,99,122 candidates have applied for the Class 12 exam, out of which 4,46,641 are girls and 6,21,259 are boys. The duration of the exam was of three hours. It began at 10:30 am and ended at 1:30 pm. The time allotted to read the question paper, which was distributed at 10:15 am, was 15 minutes. From 10:15 am to 10:30 am, students were given time to read the paper and go through it carefully. The paper carried a total of 70 marks.

Tricky questions Most of the students had difficulty in understanding the questions, which they thought was framed in an indirect and tricky manner. "Exam was very tricky. Questions were asked in a very indirect way in all the parts. I am expecting 40 marks out of 70 even after preparing very hard, all those months," said Pragyan Thapa, from The Sagar School, Rajasthan.

Lengthy paper The students found the paper to be very lengthy and had difficulty in answering all the questions within stipulated time. "Lot of time got wasted in figuring out which question belongs to which topic. This left me with very insufficient time to answer all the questions properly. Compared to last years' question papers, exam paper this year was very complex. I am expecting passing marks only," said Kanika Marwah from The Sagar School, Rajasthan. Difficult paper overall Overall, the students found this yearsâ?? physics paper very difficult. Despite physics being a scoring subject, the students are not expecting high marks. According to Ankit Narain, a class 12 student, "I have been scoring well in physics in my pre-boards and other preparatory exams but was quite unhappy with this paper which overall seemed very difficult. I am very disappointed with this paper."
