Haryana To Promote All Students Of Classes 1 To 8 Without Final Exams

On Sunday Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said school students from classes 1 to 8 will be advanced to the next academic year without taking up annual exams as the schools are closed due to the nationwide lockdown. The chief minister said that the State Boards review for the science subject for Class 10 was not carried out as the lockdown had been decided by then and the results of the students would be reported on the basis of other topics in which they participated, according to an official statement here. Mr. Khattar also urged the states people to maintain social distance when remaining at home, as there are a few festivals next week like Baisakhi. At these festivals we will keep social distancing, he said.
