CBSE Board Exam dates 10 days in advance to be announced

According to a CBSE official, the paper evaluation of both class 10 and class 12 students will take one to a month and a half. Just 30 per cent of CBSE class 10 paper evaluation and Class 12 students have been completed so far, according to estimates. Once asked about the remaining tests, another officer of the Board told that only the essential papers will be held, and the dates will be announced 10 days in advance.

The official of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also said that, with the assistance of two lakh teachers, 2 crore papers of 36 lakh students will be evaluated for class 10 and class 10. The official also said it has a plan A and is waiting for it to be implemented, so there is no need for a plan B about the entire academic operation right now.

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus outbreak in the country, the CBSE, the national level secondary education and qualification body, had postponed class 10 and class 12 examinations in March. Later, the Board had agreed to conduct only the remaining relevant documents, according to a notification issued during the first week of April. According to sources, if the government agrees after the lockout is lifted, the Board will require 10 days to resume class 12 board exams. The national board had also said earlier that it will only conduct the remaining Class 10 exams for students from northeast Delhi who have missed their papers because of the riots. While attending the meeting of education ministers called by the Minister for Human Resource Development of the State, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia asked to encourage students of CBSE class 10 and class 12 without having to conduct the pending examinations based on internal marks. Mr Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, said he had told the meeting that the remaining exams of CBSE class 10 and Class 12 students can not be conducted now.
