Seats for New Courses in the degree are 13,720

A total of 13,720 seats have been made available in the two new degree courses introduced across the state. There are 4,24,315 seats available in 1,059 colleges in the state this academic year (2020-21) under Degree Online Services-Telangana (DOST). Of this, 6,780 seats in B.Sc Data Science and 6,940 seats in B.Com Analytics were added. Data science was introduced in 124 colleges and business analytics in 113 colleges. Most of these new courses are introduced in colleges under Osmania University. Last academic year, there were 1,046 colleges under Dost, with 4,12,805 seats. Only 2.22 lakh seats were filled. This time the number of colleges increased to 1059. The number of seats also reached 4.24 lakh.
