Schools to be reopened for classes 9 to 12 from 21 September

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has allowed schools to reopen from September 21 for resuming the face-to - face learning method. The ministry has issued a set of guidelines for those classes to hold. It is intended to serve as a school guide on the safety

measures they must take during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) follow the Unlock-4 guidelines of the centre to enable schools to reopen outside containment zones in areas.

The ministry added in the guidelines: This SOP outlines various generic preventative actions to be implemented in addition to specific measures to be taken when schools allow students (in 9th to 12th grade) All States/UTs are obligated to abide with the COVID-19 order recommended by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
