Andhra Pradesh schools will remain closed in October and reopen from 2 November onwards.

The government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to keep AP schools closed for the month of October. Subsequently, a recommendation to reopen all schools on October 5 was rejected. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy declared yesterday that on November 2 and not in October, schools in Andhra will now reopen in November.


The decision was revealed during a video conference conducted by Spandana. In view of the COVID pandemic situation in the state , the government has agreed to keep the schools closed. From September 21, a few schools reopened in Andhra Pradesh for the voluntary attendance of classes 9 to 12.
