CBSE Class 12 Board Exam has been postponed, while the Class 10 Board Exam has been cancelled.

CBSE Class 10 board exams have been cancelled, and Class 12 board exams have been rescheduled for 2021. The results of the Class 10 board will be based on objective criteria defined by the board. Before the start of the papers, students in Class 12 will be given a new date sheet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank' and other senior education officials on May 4 to address the CBSE board exams, which were scheduled to begin on May 4.

The decision was made in response to state ministers and board exam students around the country calling for the CBSE board exams to be cancelled. Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, has urged the Centre to cancel the CBSE board exams in 2021, while Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has written to the Centre demanding that they be postponed. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, both members of the Congress, had previously urged the central government to cancel the CBSE 2021 exams.
