UGC NET Exam Has Been Postponed Due to Covid-19

The government has postponed the UGC NET December 2020 cycle test, which was scheduled for May 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, declared Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday.


Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted, Keeping in mind the safety and health of candidates and exam functionaries during the Covid-19 outbreak, I have advised the National Testing Agency to postpone the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) exams.


Between May 2 and May 17, 2021, the UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for the December 2020 period (May 2021) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode was held across the country, covering 81 subjects. Considering the current situation of the Covid 19 pandemic, as well as the safety and well-being of the candidates and examination functionaries, the Nation Testing Agency (NTA) said in a statement, it has been agreed to postpone the UGC NET December 2020 period (May 2021) Examination.
